TENKILLER BOAT PARADE
Annual Tenkiller boat parade with cash prizes.
GREATER TENKILLER AREA ASSOCIATION 2010 BOAT PARADE
THEME: “ALMOST ANYTHING GOES ON THE LAKE”
WHEN: JULY 4, 2010 BETWEEN 5:00 AND 7:00 PM
WHERE: BETWEEN THE TWO LARGE ISLANDS NEAR THE DAM ON THE SOUTH END OF THE LAKE. LOOK FOR THE PARADE DIRECTOR’S BOAT FOR REGISTRATION AND LINEUP DIRECTIONS
PRIZES: BEST OF THE PARADE - $250 AND TROPHY
1ST PLACE LARGE (26 FT AND UP) - $250
1ST PLACE SMALL CRAFT (UNDER 26 FT) - $250
1ST PLACE PONTOONS - $250
HOW TO REGISTER: You may register your entry on the lake at the Parade Director’s boat, or you may register on-line at jellis@crosstel.net or you may mail your entry to GTAA Boat Parade, c/o John Ellis, P.O. Box 916, Gore, OK 74435
PARADE PLAN: On-lake registration will take place between 5:00 and 5:30 pm. At 5:30, registration will be closed. The entrants will then line up behind the Parade Director’s Boat and will pass in front of the judging area at least three times. Then the parade will proceed to the entrance of Pine Cove, circle the outer part of the cove, then proceed around the corner to the dam, past the South Overlook Area and then back to the point of starting. At that point the Parade Director will retrieve the results of the judging, the winners will be announced and prizes awarded. The parade will end at that time so that the entrants can get anchored up to enjoy the fireworks show.
